This Privacy Policy describes how SmartGas – Fuel Calculator ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

The App allows you to enter vehicle information, fuel fill-up records, and preferences (language, currency, units). This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

b) Automatically Collected Information

Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as screens viewed and features used. This helps us improve the App.
Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and error logs to diagnose and fix bugs.
Advertising: We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the App's features
To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
To display relevant advertisements
To analyze anonymized usage patterns to guide future development

3. Data Storage

All personal data you enter (vehicles, fill-up records, settings) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Room database and DataStore). We do not have access to this data and it is not transmitted over the internet.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob – for advertising
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics – for analytics and crash reporting
Google Play Services – for core Android functionality

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Data Retention

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, it is retained until you uninstall the App or manually delete it within the App. Anonymized analytics data retained by Firebase follows Firebase's retention policies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access and delete all your data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it
Opt out of personalized ads through your device's advertising settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads)
Disable analytics collection through your device's privacy settings

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Your data remains on your device and is subject to your device's own security measures.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
