BrainBuzz ("we", "our", or "the app") is a trivia quiz game. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) directly. The following data may be collected by third-party services integrated into the app:

Google AdMob: Advertising ID, device info, IP address, app usage data — used to serve personalized ads.
Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage events (screens visited, quiz results, session duration) — used to improve the app.
Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports and device state at time of crash — used to fix bugs.
Firebase Performance: App startup time and screen load performance — used to improve speed.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Device token for sending push notifications — used for daily challenge reminders.

2. Data Stored Locally

All game progress (level, XP, stats, achievements, settings) is stored locally on your device using a Room database and DataStore. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

BrainBuzz uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use your Advertising ID to show personalized ads. This app is not directed at children under 13. We have configured AdMob with tagForChildDirectedTreatment=false and tagForUnderAgeOfConsent=false.

4. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send daily challenge reminders via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

We delay data collection until consent is obtained. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Since all game data is local, you can delete it by uninstalling the app. For analytics/ad data, contact the respective third-party services linked above.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

BrainBuzz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
